FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to be able to swim?

Yes, you do need to be able to swim to go on one of our tours and be comfortable with the idea of potentially jumping  (fun on hot days) or falling into cold water.

If we assess you could potentially be unsafe on the water, our Guides reserve the right to deny entry or adjust the tour.

  • I have a large group, can you help?

Absolutely, we can take up to 18 clients on the water at one time on a mix of kayaks and SUPs. Please email for help setting this up.

  • Is it too cold in Iceland?

Not at all! The temperatures in the spring/summer average around 10'C, with our full body drysuits and neoprene equipment you will be cosy enough to go for a swim!

  • What if it gets too windy?

Our guides have a combined experience of 20+ years dealing with watersports, with that knowledge we will always lean towards caution and consistency. If Sigló Sea cancel a tour we will always offer alternative tour types / a full refund.

  • Can I pay on arrival?

We can take payments at the Sigló Sea basecamp with our card reader. If you intend to do this please get in touch before arrival to make sure there will be space on the tour.

  • I'm pregnant, can I go on a tour?

If you are pregnant, congratulations! :)

We can accomodate mothers and baby bumps providing our equipment fits safely. If you get in touch, we can talk directly and assess.

  • Medical conditions

Medical conditions can be uncomfortable on dryland and worse in a drysuit on the water.

We recommend getting in touch to talk about options with us directly.

  • The time or date I want isn´t available.

If you are making a booking of 4+ public or a private tour then please email us, we may be able to source a professional guide for your request.
