Terms and Conditions for Sigló Sea.

Information and confidentiality.

All information provided by the client to Sigló Sea is dealt with in the strictest confidence. Sigló Sea will only use the information provided in the interests of fulfilling the agreed services. Sigló Sea does not sell information to third parties.

Payments.
We accept: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Union Pay, JCB, Diners Club and Discover.
No booking is considered final until payment is made.
All prices include VAT.
Payments can be made via the website or through bank transfer, if made through bank transfer a receipt must be sent to 
siglosea@gmail.com with an email detailing the sender and reason for payment.

Refunds and cancellations.

Cancellations within 365 days from the start time - 80% refund.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the start time - 50% refund.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the start time - no refund.

Should Sigló Sea decide tour conditions have become inappropriate (e.g weather, strikes etc) then:

  1. Adjustments to the tour will be offered, such as a change of craft or itinerary.
  2. An alternate start time / date will be offered.
  3. A full refund will be offered.


Should Sigló Sea cancel a tour due to client fault (e.g a client arrives intoxicated or is a no show*) then:

  1. The tour may continue with the offending party removed. There will be no refund for the removed client.
  2. The tour may be cancelled outright. There will be no refund for the associated booking.


Sigló Sea ehf. will stand by the decisions of their staff as professionals in the field, if you wish to challenge a decision please email siglosea@gmail.com.

*A no show is a client who has not arrived within 20 minutes of the start time without notice in advance. Delays to start times are possible at the discretion of the guide on site, this may be unavailable due to scheduling clashes.

Personal items and damages.
Sigló Sea does not take responsibility for any damages to clients personal items before, during or after the tour. It is the responsibility of the client to protect their own property. All adventure sports carry inherent risk to self and equipment, Sigló Sea will do their best to manage this risk but the client is to understand they take part at their own risk.
Clients must follow the instructions of their guide at all times, if they do not and this results in damage to equipment outside of regular wear and tear then Sigló Sea reserves the right to charge for replacement in kind.

Complaints.

Should a client have any reason to complain about the provision of their tour their issue must be brought up with their guide in the first instance, this gives us an opportunity to adjust. Should this not resolve the problem please email to siglosea@gmail.com with details of the complaint.

These terms and conditions must be interpreted in accordance with Icelandic law. If a dispute arises or if someone believes that they have a claim against Sigló Sea ehf. or their staff based on the provisions and terms, such a dispute or claim will be referred to the Icelandic courts.
